Caring for the Bosham Stream

Local residents and riparian landowners working together to protect and enhance Bosham’s chalk stream.

Who We Are

The Friends of Bosham Stream is a group of neighbours, residents and riparian landowners who care about the Bosham Stream. We came together over the past year out of shared concern for the condition of the stream. We now meet monthly to share what we know, carry out practical work and speak up for the stream.

Our aims

  • Protect and enhance the Bosham Stream and the wildlife that depends on it

  • Monitor the health of the stream through citizen science

  • Tackle problems on the ground, from litter to invasive plants

  • Work with the Rivers Trust, the Environment Agency, water companies and local councils to get the best result for the stream

  • Help local people understand, enjoy and look after the stream

The group is currently coordinated by Kate Boswell and Andy Morgan.
